During the first weeks of August, Asia, took place in a series of presentations and discussions on unionism. Many sections of the AIT showed their topics and took part in meetings and roundtable discussions with a wide range of activists from Hong Kong and Taipei. In addition a presentation and discussion on the principles and practice of anarcho-syndicalism and a presentation on IWA, its history and its organization. Seven IWA Sections participated, presenting briefs about themselves and how they are organized. There were many examples of successful direct action, accompanied with videos. There were explanations on how some organizations choose to conduct a campaign and also some examples of social protests or activities that have been committed Sections, from mass protests in Brazil to cooperatives in Spain or the tenant movement in Poland. The event generated lots of discussion and exchange. Also get to learn about the local realities of Hong Kong and Taiwan, setting Extra meetings with activists. A separate meeting on anti-gentrificatión movements which took part some of the Hong Kong activists was held, sharing their experiences. Colleagues who participated in the organization and events evaluate them positively, wishing to continue the dialogue, and produce some more basic texts aimed at the people of that region. It is clear that on the issue of Can Vies, city officials never intended to offer alternatives aside of official bureaucratic circuit. Every meeting was poured to manipulation and deceit, because proposing such unacceptable controlled space in which they really wanted to remove as place for people. The disproportionate police presence to enforce the eviction proves it.
Master had neither think about the intervention of other groups or the neighborhoods to support the Center. Nor solidarity from other districs would expect, as happened in the early morning. Six arrested in Barcelona after a night of riots over Can Vies eviction . Publico.es 27/5/2014
About 500 people gathered in the evening on the streets of Sants to protest the eviction, with the participation of dozens of neighbors, clapping from the the balconies, shouting " You touch Can Vies touch us all " and " combative Barrio" .
On Monday , following another demonstration , there was burning container and furniture as well as a mobile unit TV3. Tthe police identified a dozen people and arrested two . One will go to court on Wednesday and another was released with charges .
The social center Can Vies Barcelona, evicted Monday by police after 17 years of operation, has begun to be shot down minutes after the end of the police operation, in which twelve young people have been forcibly removed from inside the house, where six of them had barricaded or chainning. Mercadona, main spanish chain of Malls company, has had to pay about half a million euros in compensation to 12 fired employees and laid off members of CNT Trade Union working in Xativa and Alzira, Valencia.
In December 2013, CNT Valencia and Vall d'Albaida initiated a trade dispute against Mercadona by multi disciplinary workers dismissal in several Valencian regions. These disciplinary dismissals were based on totally nonsense excuses as take a date off cupcake from garbage.
CNT began publicly denouncing and informative campaign about the dirty tricks used by Mercadona and the abject strategy behind that was leading to disciplinary dismissals in the company, most cases workers over 20 years working for the company, to avoid paying any compensation while recruiting new employees in precarious as usual in this same stores.
After several months of protests in different parts of the region of Valencia and a State Fight Day in several cities, Mercadona was forced to negotiate with the dismissed without even approaching trial date. SPECIALE MARZO – Nella produzione di energia non siamo un paese nucleare e appena qualche qualche giorno fa, in occasione del vertice mondiale dell’Aja per la prevenzione del terrorismo nucleare, abbiamo ribadito il nostro impegno contro la proliferazione delle armi atomiche. Ciò nonostante, nei sotterranei delle nostre basi militari custodiamo decine e decine di testate nucleari americane, che di fronte a un’urgenza saremmo autorizzati a utilizzare. E nel nostro futuro prossimo non figura alcuna volontà di rimozione o smaltimento, anzi: queste bombe sono in fase di ammodernamento per diventare ancora più precise e potenti.
Ma dove sono, come sono fatti e che pericolo rappresentano questi ordigni? Ne abbiamo discusso con Maurizio Simoncelli, vicepresidente dell’Istituto di Ricerche Internazionali Archivio Disarmo, che si occupa dei problemi legati al controllo degli armamenti, di pace e di sicurezza internazionale.
Le bombe nucleari in Italia Le armi atomiche che abbiamo in repertorio si chiamano bombe B61, ideate e messe in produzione durante la corsa agli armamenti successiva alla seconda guerra mondiale. Smistate tra i reparti segreti della Base Aerea di Aviano, in provincia di Pordenone e l’Aeroporto di Brescia-Ghedi, sul suolo italiano ne contiamo circa una settantina. Si tratta di armi di tipo tattico e la loro funzione è di essere impiegate direttamente sul terreno di battaglia, a differenza delle armi nucleari strategiche che, invece, sono progettate per interventi a lunga gittata e che, potenzialmente, se montate su vettori intercontinentali possono essere scagliate anche a oltre 10mila chilometri di distanza. Le B61, grossi cilindri di circa tre metri e mezzo di lunghezza e oltre tre quintali di peso, sono prive di un proprio mezzo di propulsione e risultano perciò progettate esclusivamente per il lancio dagli aerei.
Un po’ di storia
Le B61 stipate all’interno delle nostre basi non sono di nostra proprietà, bensì degli Stati Uniti e altro non sono che un residuo della vecchia guerra fredda, quando si ipotizzava una possibile invasione per via terrestre dell’Armata Rossa. In tal caso, sarebbero state usate dalla Nato per creare una zona di impenetrabilità a mezzo di bombardamenti aerei ai confini della Cortina di Ferro. A rigore di legge la loro presenza sul nostro territorio non sarebbe consentita già dagli anni ’90, a maggior ragione per la partecipazione dell’Italia ai trattati internazionali per il disarmo nucleare, ma di fatto il patto Nato rende ancora possibile tenerle nelle nostre basi.
Anche altri paesi sono stati e sono ancora coinvolti nel patto, e il totale delle bombe atomiche americane in Europa ammonta a 200. Sono distribuite tra Belgio, Olanda, Germania, Turchia a formare “una sorta di linea verticale di sicurezza contro gli attacchi da est” precisa Simoncelli. “Il tutto – perlomeno nel caso dell’Italia - protetto da segreto militare, tant’è che il nostro governo non ha mai negato né confermato la presenza di un arsenale nucleare nelle nostro territorio”. Presenza che però è testimoniata dalla documentazione disponibile presso diversi uffici stranieri: primo tra tutti quello del Sipri, l’Istituto Internazionale di Ricerca per la Pace di Stoccolma, dove è possibile rintracciare delle stime aggiornate, e il sito della Federation of American Scientists, che pubblica rapporti e tabelle sui diversi arsenali.
Le perplessità La mancata ufficialità sulla presenza delle testate nucleari entro i nostri confini da parte delle nostre istituzioni si concretizza nella mancata trasparenza sulla questione, più pratica, della spesa per la loro custodia e la manutenzione. “Nel nostro bilancio annuale della Difesa non esiste una voce specificamente rivolta alle spese per il nucleare” spiega Simoncelli, “è dichiarata solo la voce generica Nato, ed è quindi impossibile risalire a questa informazione”. Ed è un problema che si estende anche a livello globale: nemmeno attraverso i database internazionali è possibile risalirvi, poiché le spese militari destinate al nucleare sono di fatto uno dei segreti più inaccessibili in assoluto per quasi tutti i paesi del mondo.
Un’altra fonte di perplessità è legata invece alla mancata informazione sui margini di sicurezza entro cui viene mantenuto questo materiale nucleare. “C’è da dire che queste armi per entrare in funzione devono essere armate” chiarisce Simoncelli, “e per innescare l’esplosione gli esperti parlano anche di settimane di preparazione e di iter tecnico-organizzativo”. Difficile, insomma, che si creino le condizioni per un vero e proprio incidente nucleare. Ma non sarebbe forse diritto dei cittadini, in particolare quelli che vivono nelle aree attorno alle basi di Aviano e Ghedi, essere a conoscenza dei propri livelli di rischio?
Queste bombe incontrano poi lo scetticismo di molti dei maggiori esperti di strategia bellica, così come delle delegazioni tecniche di molti paesi alleati, poiché ritenute ridondanti e ormai obsolete sotto diversi punti di vista. Innanzitutto sotto quello politico, ormai profondamente cambiato rispetto al quadro che ha condotto al loro insediamento in Europa. E poi sotto il profilo tecnologico, che (se proprio vogliamo guardare alla loro validità come strumenti di difesa) le vede del tutto inadeguate, poco utilizzabili e non competitive.
Dalla discutibile efficacia bellica di queste armi scaturisce un ulteriore motivo di perplessità: il governo Obama ha da poco deciso di investire 11 miliardi di dollari per il loro ammodernamento, e prevede di trasformare le 200 testate presenti sul territorio europeo in “bombe atomiche intelligenti”, cioè teleguidate, e di aumentarne notevolmente la potenza. Al termine dei lavori, previsto tra il 2019 e il 2020, anche i cacciabombardieri F35 saranno pronti, e anche questo fa presagire che l’allontanamento di queste bombe dall’Italia sia da escludere per un bel po’ di anni.
Alla luce di tutte queste perplessità diversi gruppi politici hanno interrogato negli anni i governi per chiedere ragioni e delucidazioni sull’arsenale militare in Italia, ma nessuna risposta è mai arrivata. Perché continuiamo a custodirle? Che uso prevediamo di farne? Chi provvederà un domani allo smaltimento delle scorie? Sono tutti interrogativi che sbattono sul muro di quello che ha tutte le caratteristiche di un segreto di Stato.
E cosa succede a livello internazionale? La rete italiana della International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons ha aderito nell’ultimo anno a un appello che ha riscosso consensi in moltissimi paesi, la cosiddetta Iniziativa Umanitaria, chiedendo all’Onu la messa al bando delle armi nucleari come atto di responsabilità verso le generazioni future. Questo alla luce delle tante evidenze redatte da scienziati e medici che certificano che una guerra nucleare non sarebbe sostenibile a livello mondiale per nessun paese, per tutte le sue drammatiche conseguenze sulla salute e sull’ambiente. Una questione che oggi, nell’inasprimento del dialogo con la Russia sulla questione ucraina, trova una nuova occasione per far riflettere ruolo destabilizzante delle armi nucleari nella politica internazionale: potrebbe essere questo il momento di provvedere al disegno di una regolamentazione adeguata per la loro svalutazione definitiva. A partire da quella che, nostro malgrado, ci vuole ancora custodi di 70 bombe dieci volte più potenti di quella che ha distrutto Hiroshima.
