Who is Behind “Fake News”? Mainstream Media Use Fake Videos and Images

Source- Who is Behind “Fake News”? Mainstream Media Use Fake Videos and Images | Global Research - Centre for Research on Globalization 24.11.2016

The mainstream corporate media is desperate.
They want to suppress independent and alternative online media, which it categorizes as “fake news”.
Readers on social media are warned not to go onto certain sites.
The intent of this initiative is to smear honest reporting and Truth in Media.
Our analysis confirms that the mainstream media are routinely involved in distorting the facts and turning realities upside down.
They are the unspoken architects of “Fake News”.
One area of routine distortion is the use of fake videos and images by the mainstream media.

Four Notorious Cases of  Media Distortion

These are four examples and there are many more. The manipulation of videos and images is routine. In some cases, these manipulations are revealed by readers, independent media and social media. In most cases they go undetected. And when they are revealed, the media will say “sorry” we apologize: they will then point to technical errors. “we got the wrong video”.
What is important to emphasize is that these media distortions are invariably deliberate.
1. Coverage of CNN 2008 Riots in Tibet

Chinese Cops with khaki uniforms and Indian Style Moustaches

The video footage, which accompanied CNN’s John Vause’s report, had nothing to do with China. The police were not Chinese, but Indian cops in khaki uniforms from the Northeastern State of Himachal Pradesh, India.

Viewers were led to believe that demonstrations inside China were peaceful and that people were being arrested by Chinese cops.
Chinese Cops in Khaki Uniforms?
1′.27-1′.44″ video footage of “Chinese cops” and demonstrators including Buddhist monks. Chinese cops are shown next to Tibetan monks
Are these Chinese Cops from Gansu Province or Lhasa, the Tibetan capital, as suggested by CNN’s John Vause’s Report?

Alleged Chinese cops in khaki uniforms repressing Tibet demonstrators in China, CNN, March 14, 2008  1’38″, 1’40″ (images above)
Their khaki uniforms with berets seem to bear the imprint of the British colonial period.
Khaki colored uniforms were first introduced in the British cavalry in India in 1846.
Khaki means “dust” in Hindi and Persian.
Moreover, the cops with khaki uniforms and mustache do not look Chinese.
Look carefully.
They are Indian cops.
The videotape shown on March 14, 2008 by CNN is not from China (Gansu Province or Lhasa, Tibet’s Capital). The video was taken in the State of Himachal Pradesh, India. The videotape of the Tibet protest movement in India was used in the CNN report on the Tibet protest movement within China. CNN got its countries screwed up.

2. BBC Coverage of the War on Libya, 2011

Green Square Tripoli. Libyans Celebrating “Liberation” and the Victory of Rebel forces over Gadaffi waving Indian Flags

Examine the footage: It’s not Green Square and it’s not the King Idris Flag (red, black green) of the Rebels.
Its the Indian flag (orange, white and green) and the people at the rally are Indians.
Perhaps you did not even notice it.
And if you did notice, ”it was probably a mistake”.
Sloppy journalism at the BBC or outright Lies and Fabrications? Recognize the flags?
Indian Flag  (see right)
Libya’s Rebel Flag (King Idris)

Terrorists “celebrating” in Green Square
There is no celebration. It is a NATO sponsored massacre which has resulted in several thousand deaths.
But the truth cannot be shown on network television. The impacts of NATO bombings have been obfuscated.
The rebels are heralded as ”liberators”.
NATO bombing is intended to save civilian lives under The Alliance’s R2P mandate.  But the realities are otherwise: the civilian population is being terrorized by the NATO sponsored Rebels.
The images must be switched to conform to the “NATO consensus”.
Death and destruction is replaced by fabricated images of celebration and liberation.

3. CNN and BBC on 9/11.

The Report on the Collapse of WTC Building Seven Occurred Prior to the Collapse

Fake News regarding the Collapse of WTC Building Seven
The most grotesque lie pertains to the BBC and CNN announcement in the afternoon of September 11, that WTC Building Seven (The Solomon Building) had collapsed.
The BBC report went live at 5.00pm, 21 minutes before the actual occurrence of the collapse, indelibly pointing to foreknowledge of the collapse of WTC 7.
CNN anchor Aaron Brown announced that the building “has either collapsed or is collapsing” about an hour before the event.
See the images below: WTC Building Seven is still standing.
“CNN anchor Aaron Brown seems to struggle to make sense of what he is seeing one minute after announcing that WTC Building 7, whose erect facade is clearly visible in his view towards the Trade Center, has or is collapsing.” (see below)

4. The March 2016 Brussels Terrorist Attacks.

Belgian Media Used Video of a 2011 Moscow Airport Terrorist Attack

Brussels News media Dernière Heure at as well as La Libre reported on the terror attacks by providing a CC Camera Airport Surveillance Video of the terror attacks.
The published video footage was fake as documented by a blog posting on Media Part
The video pertains to a terror attack at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport on 24 January 2011 (posted on youtube in November 2013).
The  report of on the Brussels airport attack used the video of the Moscow 2011 attack with the date of the Brussels attack: (22/03/2016) pasted onto the Russian video.
Below is the screenshot of DH’s report.

And the screenshot of  La Libre at,

And here is a screenshot of the January 2011 terror attack at Moscow’s Domodedova International Airport published on youtube in November 2013 followed by the full youtube video of the Moscow attack:

Concluding Remarks
The lies and fabrications of the MSM are not the result of “sloppy journalism”.
They are deliberate and are intended to mislead the public.
The mainstream media routinely uses fake images and videos in its coverage of the war on Syria.
The campaign against alternative and independent media seeks to limit freedom of expression.

An Antifascist Response to the Trumpist Future

The shocking election of right-populist billionaire Donald Trump has unleashed a flood of analysis, finger-pointing, and despair on the Left. However, there is an urgent need for pragmatic action in the months and years to come.
We must fight tooth-and-nail against the future which Trump and his cabinet of horrors are working to usher in: increased deportations, the registration of Muslims, bans on abortion and birth control, attacks on LGBTQ people, anti-Semitic populism, and the newfound electoral coalition of U.S. White Nationalism. Before Trump expands Obama’s deportation and security policies, we must build self-organized counter-power with a newfound commitment to our comrades, neighbors, and coworkers.
Trump’s election has already unleashed a wave of racist attacks across the United States, and we encourage everyone to meet these attacks–and whatever else may come–with diverse tactics and ceaseless action from comrades of all abilities. Here’s how we are already starting to organize. We urge you to do the same:
Organize Antifascist Affinity Groupszip-hoodie-antifa-graffiti-d001001220831Don’t wait until an established group sets up a public meeting, get something going with your friends today. Around the country, interest has grown in organizing local antifascist groups. We recommendAntifascist Network’s primer on starting a group as well as their resources for activistsarticles to anyone interested. Your affinity group can take part in other resistance movements, convene in anti-authoritarian blocks at demonstrations, and take action to resist oppression.

Solidarity and Rapid-Response Networks

Before the election, collectives in different cities were organizing in support of people dealing with exploitative bosses and slumlords. With larger participation, these networks could become increasingly viable in a post-Trump world. In New York, the Rapid Response Network is organizing to work with undocumented immigrants to thwart the machinations of ICE. The Community Action Team NYC (CATNYC) and  Neighbored Anti-Racist trainings from the Kuwasi Balagoon Liberation School are also setting up responses to racist attacks.
Another tactic is the New Sanctuary Movement, which provides spaces for those facing deportation to hide while considering their next moves. Many activist spaces are in the process of becoming sanctuaries and you can help a space where you live become one as well.
Win the Propaganda Warth.jpegFor too long the streets have been dominated by advertisements and apolitical street art. We need to produce stickers, posters, and murals to announce our presence–as well as counter racist and fascist graffiti that is increasingly appearing across the country. The three arrows of the antifascist circle was developed exactly for this purpose, and we’d like to see it generalize as a symbol of our resistance. We will not allow organized white nationalists to engage in open organizing on the streets of New York.
Marches, Demonstrations, Walk-outs, and StrikesIn the days following the election, thousands of people took part in dozens of protests that spontaneously and immediately took place around the country. Antifascists must continue to expand this presence in the streets, sharing militant tactics learned from past movements–the city-shut downs of the anti-war movement, the massive “Day Without Latinos” general strike of 2006, the square reclamations of Occupy, and the infrastructure blockades of Black Lives Matter and #NoDAPL. We must also organize in our workplaces and schools, where politics have been an impolite topic for too long. We need to use the anger this election has generated to shut shit down.
Expose FascistsEven with Trump’s election, the vast majority of organized white nationalists and fascists remain cowards who only share their views anonymously or around other fascists. This is why the KKK cloak themselves in masks and the Alt Right trolls use anonymous message boards and sock puppet Twitter accounts. However, they often make mistakes and expose personal information. Monitor their message boards, social media accounts, and document any information you find about them. Send it to your local antifa, start your own blog, or flier their neighborhood, workplace, or school to force them from the shadows.
The resistance is up against the full force of State, and will need to be well funded. Consider making personal donations or setting up fundraisers often. Here are some groups we recommend donating to:
Anarchist Black Cross WarchestJust Info legal advice hotline
The BaseInternational Antifascist Defense Fund
It’s Going Down newsQueer Detainee Empowerment ProjectHoods For Justice
In the coming days, we will be releasing information about area fascist and Alt-Right/White Nationalist groups. Please send tips and info or

"Mad Pride" - Movement That Celebrated Mental Illness

Remembering Mad Pride, The Movement That Celebrated Mental Illness | VICE | United Kingdom

A quarter people in the UK say they have suffered from a mental health problem, yet most of them are isolated from one another. Unlike other groups and demographics, there is little in the way of a mental health movement.
Imagine if there was though. A huge festival in a park – a parade, concerts, poetry readings: hundreds of clinically depressed, anxious and schizophrenic people out on the streets or squashed into bars, to protest for sure, but also just to be with one another, and take pride in mental illness.
Well between 1999 and 2012, that existed, it was called "Mad Pride", a movement that tells us a lot about how mental health campaigning came to be what it is today.
Mad Pride was founded by four men with first hand experience of using mental health services; Mark Roberts, Simon Barnett, Robert Dellar, and Pete Shaughnessy. Simon had gone to a gay pride event and thought that there should be something similar for people with mental health issues. He had been involved in an organisation called Survivors Speak Out – a blueprint for what today is called the "user movement", where mental health patients come together to network and defend their rights – but all four men believed that there needed to be a group for mental health patients that resembled something more of a liberation army.
"It seemed like the right time to fight back," explains Robert Dellar over the phone. Robert worked for the charity Mind when he got involved with Mad Pride in 1999, but had also suffered from mental health problems himself, treated on and off for depression and anxiety.

Explaining The Anarchy and our 200 years Struggle against Elites

Tctca Spanish Version
When we talk to those unfamiliar with  the political or even hostile to anarchism people do not matter that you spread to the seven winds that anarchy is not chaos or that you can organize without leaders. Whether you explain that there are many different ways of democracy and they have just opted for the parliamentary one. Do not matter that you prove that can be organization without government or states, that companies organize social work and their owners are just rentiers. People do not see it. Do not make the idea, they do not imagine not conceive. They only repeat what they hear from the media, cantine or work vox populi. Layer upon layer of prejudices are mounted one above the other like a pie. A cake that we will have to eat if you do not give a proper answer.

For these people  the definitions or abstract concepts are not worth, so we have to make an educational effort with examples and simple explanations to open the door to thinking. Small changes of meaning can be the key to transmit the idea.

Anarchist: The Enemies of Elites

S.XIX Socialism pointed to 'the Capitalist' as the Enemy, the one that exploits desposed people and force them to work for their livelihood, and so that extract its surplus and  benefit that bring him to enjoy privileges such as time and luxuries. His weapon were the 'Private Property' and violence. It became clear that for a society to prosper without destroying itself should be based in distribution and not in concentration.

Anarchists went further and realized that even among the dispossessed, even without capital, there are people who organize to take advantage of the human condition, self-privileged groups that have nothing to envy the powers of capital. They feel superior, act as superiors. Therefore our serfdom is not as much a question of money but of Power. All these privileged people who are organized to parasitate is call them whole Elites. The story of anarchy is a history of struggle against the elites, internal and external.

It can be understand that there is a battle between anarchy and all other political trends, and it is because there is an ancient battle between the people against the elites, at all levels, and in all political, economical and social places. There are many differences between Anarchism and all the res of political forms. All them look similar to anarchist because all they reproduce the same hierarchical patern, the Business model.

'Ark-on' against 'An-Ark'. The etymology places us as historical antagonists of Elites. In Greece, the ruler was called Archon, the 'Arj-on', who has the force, that who uses the force. With it they can fulfill their will, be it benign or malignant, acclaimed or infamous. 2000 years later Anarchists were organized, those fighting the Archons.

We have found ways to organize without elites and we actively practice them. To Combat without transform into what we reject. The basics to understand our organization is that in our quest for Equality Anarchy is not order by precepts, laws, rules, commands or orders, but by voluntarily accepted Principles. The most important among them are: Self-Management, Direct Action and Mutual Support.

Anarchy does not menas 'No Strenght', but 'Not to Force': 'Agaisnt Coertion'

Whether the concept of 'Anarchy' although successful presents some problems: 'An-Arje' means literally 'No force'. But there is strength in Anarchy, constructive as destructive. Perhaps a more accurate approximation would be 'Not to Force'. So 'An-' prefix can also be understood as 'against': 'Against the Use of Force'. Against Coertion.

In any case we are talking about Mutual Support, Solidarity, one of the foundations of Anarchy. It is the opposite of coercion and charity. Involves negotiated agreements, pact, consens, no imposition. And above all Reciprocity, the need to correspond, the need for each one voluntarily to accept its responsibility, beginning with each member of the group and following with the organizations. Our system does not work without Reciprocity.

We live in a 'state of law' governed by coercive laws as fundamental guiding principle established by elites, and defended by armies. There is no 'Social Contract' as Rousseau said, no one but the legislator or dictator chooses the law, a covenant of elites. It is the coertion of institutionalized violence. Could be some righteous law, of course, such as those governing them 'natural laws', but they are always imposed by definition, and therefore contrary to our spirit of Concordia. The 'State of Law' is the antagonist to the 'Anarchist Confederation'.

'Not to Obligate' is not the same as 'No Obligation'

'Anarchy' can not be really understand  as synonym of 'No Obligation', as the agreements reached must be respected, the group will ask you to act according to your declared intentions. You are not obligated by coercion, but by voluntary conviction to respect the agreements taken by you, and therefore you can be ask for responsibilities. You can act without 'being forced to compromise' but once committed no matters if you call it duty, obligation or will, there is a real due. That's the Responsibility.

Anarchy is not 'Lack of Power', is 'Against the Power' of a few. Against the elites

In Anarchy, unlike many philosophers and thinkers say, there is power, there is capacity, there is will and direction, decision, conflict of interest, reason and brute force to be channeled. Power in Anarchy is simply different to the hierarchical force to which all we are used to, that is, monarchy or oligarchy with lucky. It is the product of the synergy of its members and their collective cooperation. It is the result of combining the basic principles of Anarchism. It is hard to imagine for those who have not experienced.

The key word is Will. It is our will to distribute and share power, respect and support, so the power seems to disappear.

From the will for distribute, the distributed power, the decision of all, emanates the Social Will, something not seen in the capitalist system as is covered by the alienation mechanisms set by the elites, the Will of the Elites, the oligarchies. "Society does not exist, only individuals' said Margaret Thatcher.

'Political Companies' against 'Peer Assemblies'

The State powers are divided into three branches, executive, legislative and judicial, but each is hierarchically governed according to the Business Model. And this in the military way. Command and control: the Chief orders and decides, subordinates obey. Business model triumphed in military elites, creates elites. There is no difference between how to manage a corporation and how do the various parties or the branches of government. Right or wrong, fair or not, hierarchies creates elites and can not not to create them. They are elites iself. Which by own dynamics have different interest from those who claim to represent. We Anarchist strive every day to dissolve the power we have.

This Business model is a shortsighted, forgetful, interested power. It allows rapid adaptation to the circumstances, which is appreciated, but also infinite privileges, abuse and impunity and a lack of strategy and long-term responsibility that is simply harmful and leads to fatal mistakes. Blind obedience, will denial, Inequality, Individualism, Privilege, Legality without justice. They are therefore despised.

The Assambleary model is a medium to long term power, with lots of memory but massive and difficult to articulate. It is slow and being so controlled process is full of interruptions which leads to despair of its members. But it is assertive, inclusive and distributive, which leads to decisions with perspective and overall satisfaction. Freedom, equality, fraternity. Therefore it is desired.

Anarchy is not 'Ungoverned' is 'No Governors', without elites

Anarchy leads to 'pilotless boat' chaos, 'no one at the wheel'. In effect Government comes from the greek 'Kubernei' and means 'boat pilot'.

From the set of agreements emanates resolutions that control, order, organize, process, distribute and evaluate society. These are the general principles of the 'Governance'. But this is People's Governance, self government, the Self-Management, wich collides with the 'State Government' Institution, which is the superficial perception of this general idea.

Anarchism is different. If all we command nobody commands. To said tha in the Anarchy there is a government makes as much sense as saying that there is not. Is a decentralized, spread, extended Government of those who have voluntarily decided to sail together . It is at the same time a without-government and an anti-government of people who reject the hierarchical organization of elites. Is the government of the Horizontal Assemblies of Neighbors and workers. A power voluntarily diluted that requires constant cooperation and opposition. 'The boat sails, but differently guide' because it is a different system. There are is Government but is there is not, it seems more a lexicon that factual problem.

The system is simply different.

Anarchy is not 'Anti-Institutions' but 'Anti-elites'

The society in which we move is complex enough to understand that there are highly specialized or specific tasks that can not be developed without some previous knowledge, without preparation and organization crystallized in the  Institutions. But this does not mean that have to organize creating elites and granting privileges.

Institutions are Public or Private Companis, following the Business Model. The problem of the Institutions is easy to understand, because in the capitalist world are inefficient nepotism wells that serve the purposes of political patronage powers, being an extension of power and business.
- Public Offices are used as Gifts and Rewards.
- Contracts are bidirectional favorours and commissions.
- Services are a sub product of the Tax sisitem that extract the capital from the workers.

Make no mistake, Everything revolves around taxes, the way to squeeze the cityzens. We have to pay thousands of unwanted services in the way that there are thousands of meaningless laws. Companies whose sole purpose is profit, which gives an idea of what a public service can offer. It is funny, when the administration has no founds services are closed, but executives and contracts remain, incurring in debts before stop paying these gifts to their clients.

It is our duty to break the Chain of Favours that connect politic and capitalist economy if we are to change our destiny. Luckily it is a chain with many links, many customers, many of them weak. They those favored, although they lived in squalor, would voluntarily obey the elites and will be always oppose to Equality and Justice. They do not know Solidarity, but Charity of the elites who extort them until they meet their willingness to maintain their privileges. We do not see another choice but to free them or avoid their interference.
